Sip it, Feel it, Share it (That’s a Mon a Vie knock-off). I like to whisper “Share it” just to make that saying extra cheesy, I suggest you say it that way too. Now, before you go running off, I’m not going to try and sell you any MLM product or idea, but my brother might. I kid.

What I would like to do is show you how to take a super fruit and water it down with some good, old fashioned, Vodka. I call it the PomTini, Im kinda fem like that though. You can call it the Pomegranate Martini if you’d like. You know what? Make a name up for it in the comments and I’ll give you a “shout out” on our Facebook page.

Grab your junk (bar supplies…you sicko) and watch the video.

The Hardware:

We suggest using a Boston Shaker for this Martini, which is a tin shaker with a top.
A Metal Strainer, to control your pour. Make sure you get the right one.
Optional: Salt and Sugar Caddy with Lime Juice. (You can use a lime wedge to coat the rim, and a plate with sugar on it if you don’t want to invest in a caddy.)

Our Suggestions:

Three Olives Pomegranate for the vodka. “It has a exquisite blend of vodka and succulent pomegranates!” Their words not ours.

For the pomegranate juice grab some POM Wonderful. POM is the only brand that can guarantee 100% authentic pomegranate juice because they are the only brand to grow, juice and bottle their own fruit. There are no middlemen and we like that. Get those guys outta here! Plus they have great recipes on their blog if you’re into that kinda thing.

For the Sweet and Sour Mix you can either buy some from the store or make your own. We’re lazy, so we just buy it. But, go on with your bad self if you want to and make it. It’s your world squirrel.

So to all the people (my wife) telling me to eat more fruit, take your foot and insert it into your mouth cause I am about to detox while toxicating with this martini.

Cheers!

The Stockholm Royale Martini in 8 Easy Steps

Join the upper echelons of society. Turn your nose up at the poor. Mock the less fortunate. Hey man, just because this martini has the word Royale in it doesn’t mean you get to act like an ass whilst drinking it. Check out the video below to learn how to make the Stockholm Royale martini. We will show you what ingredients to use and how to make this pretty looking, amazingly tasty, martini. Remember, we all put our pants on the same way, we just make amazing martinis after we do!

The Hardware:

We suggest using a Boston Shaker for making the Stockholm Royale, which is a tin shaker with a top.
A Metal Strainer, to control your pour. Make sure you get the right one.
Optional: Salt and Sugar Caddy with Lime Juice. (You can use a lime wedge to coat the rim, and a plate with sugar on it if you don’t want to invest in a caddy.)

The Steps:

Step 1: Sugar your Martini glass rim and fill tin shaker with ice
Step 2: Add a 3 count pour of Vodka and Triple Sec at the same time (if you can, not mandatory) into tin.
Step 3: Add a splash of Sweet and Sour to tin.
Step 4: Shake Vodka, Triple Sec, and Sweet and Sour in tin until tin is ice cold.
Step 5: Remove top to tin, place strainer on tin, and pour mixture in martini glass until half full.
Step 6: Pour Champagne into glass gently to “float” martini.
Step 7: Sink a Raspberry Liquor into martini. Sinking is adding heavy liquor so it sinks to the bottom of a cocktail.
Step 8: Enjoy your tasty Stockholm Royale martini with pride!

Our Suggestions:

We suggest using certain alcoholic products for this drink. While there are many brands to choose from we recommend Grey Goose Vodka for your vodka, it’s among the best out there. This vodka is exceptionally smooth but still bold enough to taste. Gray Goose uses a distillation process that uses Spring Water filtered through Champagne Limestone; the company believes this process makes the vodka “delicately balanced”. We agree!

DeKuyper Triple Sec for your mixer with the vodka and DeKuyper Raspberry Puckers for your sinker. We here at the The Standard try to use DeKuyper for most of our mixers. They have been creating mixers since 1695 in Holland. They are currently the #1-selling line of domestic mixers with over 50 varieties and have caused the creation of the “Fuzzy Navel” and the “Appletini”. Needless to say, they know what they are doing!

For the champagne we recommend J. Roget. While there are many other champagnes that cost a whole lot more and may even taste better in your opinion, the important item to remember with this Martini is that it is a mixed drink. J. Roget is not only an easy-to-drink champagne at a affordable price, it also blends beautifully with mixed drinks. This is, in fact, the company’s main selling point. If you want to add a little flare to Stockholm Royale we suggest using J. Roget Sparkling Pink.

So tell us what would you use to make the Stockholm Royale martini and why? Oh, yeah if you want to see something made that you like or want us to try making something “your way” let us know in the comments section below. Thanks! Oh yeah don’t be greedy, feed the needy, and share this post 😉
